Shakti Foundation has been honored with the ‘Certificate of Merit’ in the NGO/NPO category for its Annual Report 2022-23 by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). The selection for this award was made on the basis of an assessment of transparency, accountability, and good governance.

Having received ICAB (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh) awards for three consecutive years, this marks the first time Shakti Foundation got recognition at the regional level.

The SAFA Best Presented Annual Reports Awards are presented by a federation of professional accounting organizations from all eight SAARC nations, recognizing excellence in financial and sustainability reporting. This year’s theme, “Honouring Excellence,” captured the essence of the awards, celebrating the highest standards in annual reporting across diverse industries and recognizing achievements in integrated reporting and corporate governance in South Asia.

The award ceremony was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on November 11, 2024. Mr. Md. Abdul Halim, Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Tusher Ahmed Pepol, Assistant Director, accepted the award on behalf of Shakti Foundation.
