On March7 2018, CFPA Microfinance kicked off a 3-day study tour to Geely Auto and Honeywell. 12 managers and senior staffs of CFPAMF participated into this exchange. Mr. Dou Huamao, as the delegation head and vice president of CFPAMF, spoke so highly of this trip and said that we had all learned a lot from Geely Auto and Honeywell though these two companies are not players in financial sector.
It is known that Geely Auto and Honeywell are listed in Fortune 500 companies, both of which are masters in manufacturing sector. CFPAMF delegation members, from several sections such as Company Culture, Legal Affairs, Cooperation & Exchange Center, P2P, Trainning Center, Investment & Financing etc., respectively visited Geely Automobile Research Institute and Honeywell Technology Experience Centre (Shanghai) and had fantastic exchanges on company culture, team building, marketing & communication, innovation etc with hosts.
It is worth mentioning that innovation management of Geely Auto and Lean Six Sigma practice in Honeywell left us much impression. While facing evolution, CFPAMF continued to push disruptive innovation and optimization management forward which played important roles in growth.
China’s Experience and Success in Poverty Alleviation
in Past 40 Years
Mr.Wu Guobao
Research fellow
Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
According to a news report released by Xinhua news agency last year, from 1978 to 2016, about 730 million Chinese people have been lifted out of poverty. As of the end of 2016, there were 43.35 million people in China living below the country’s poverty line of 2,300 yuan (348.9 U.S. dollars) of annual income as constant with 2010 prices, accounting for about 3 percent of China’s population. China has set 2020 as the target year to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society, which requires the eradication of poverty. To achieve the target, China needs to bring more than 10 million people out of poverty every year, meaning nearly one million people per month or 20 people per minute.
China has done a good job in poverty alleviation, said by Mr.Wu Guobao, research fellow of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, at a lecture held by CFPAMF. He pointed out that in the past 40 years of poverty alleviation, Chinese government focused on following approaches including: improving overall economic environment by sustainable pro-poor economic growth; promoting prosperity and well-being of the people by upgrading social services and social warefare; establishing public-private partnership to make efforts in poverty alleviation; increasing efficiency of poverty alleviation by making changes on poverty alleviation policies and tools; creating opportunities of development for the poor and poverty areas by target development projects of poverty alleviation.
